    « on: December 17, 2006, 02:17:33 PM »
ok i got this (actually not half bad) IBM comp that runs Window 98. i took it apart and installed a larger HDD that is compatible w/ the IBM computer because it came from the exact model just diff hdd size and it all installed clean and good i still have windows 98. ok so two days later i go downstairs and try to boot it up and it turns on but the monitor doesn't do anything, i've switched monitors w/ my parents monitor (both of them) and it still doesn't work. I've checked the cables and everything is where it's supose to be i've replaced the IDE cables and Power Cables and even the Power supply and used all of the combinations possible of them all to see if it makes it work but none of them do if anyone could please help me do it fast cuz i gota do a 20 page essay by next week and... yeah... it's a direct link to my computer at skool so then i don't gotta worry about discs... Please help me!

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

I must tell you. You're are in dire need of that essay work. :-?

You have so many possibilities. Try the old hard drive that was
      in there.

Make sure you didn't loosen the ram,or any other add-ons
       during the escapade.

Don't know if it may help, but have you tried resetting your cmos.
