Start Up issues with XP
« on: December 14, 2006, 06:22:53 PM »
A friend recently gave me a dell laptop to fix.

The screen on it is broken, so she has had it hooked up to a CRT montior. It has worked fine until about a week ago. This is what happens now.

The computer boots up normally, goes throught the win XP loading screen, and then goes to a black screen with the mouse pointer. From there an alert window pops up saying Cannot Create value at line 903.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks!
AJ

    What model is it?
Do you know what happened before it started doing this?

Edit: Spam/useless/ignore if you want - Magical post #500! Lol.  Sorry, but I had to say it.
