hard drive help
« on: April 19, 2004, 11:37:51 PM »
i have two hard drives already in my computer. (80gb and 40gb) A friend game me a free 40gb. i decided to try to add that to this system. i plugged it into the only open scsi port (?), the 2nd part of the one i have my cdrom hooked to. i have hooked up drives like this before, and it had worked.

this time, windows (2000) says it finds the drive (can see it in the device manager) but it is not there in my computer.

i have tryed uninstalling the drive and rebooting. it then reinstalls it but i have the same problem.

oh, i have the jumper set to slave.

Create a partition and format the drive so it's usable.
