hp printer stuck offline

i can't get my hp deskjet back to ready status from offline status...any suggestions?

    Try rebooting both the printer & the computer.

    And if that doesn't work let us know. The next step would be to reinstall the software, or consider a hardware fault, which will probably not be cost effective to get repaired if your warranty has expired.
