Dual Booting Win XP Pro with win XP pro

OK I have never seen it done but...

I have my computer setup like this

C: Windows 30GB partition
D: Empty NTFS Formated 15 GB Partition
E: Games partition
F: Storage partition (my documents, music, etc...)

I want to install another instance of Windows XP Pro on the D: drive so I can dual boot.  The reason is I am beta testing software and I want a very controlled environment to run it on.  My normal computer usage requires a large variety of software running all the time.  So I think a dual boot option would be best.

Any reason I could not do that? And if I can, how do I proceed?

BTW, I have a home based business with 2 computers and a 5 user business site license so I can definately, legally, install another instance of WinXP Pro

Should be no problem at all...when XP prompts you where you want to install just point it to D:

I have run many dual boot setups and i have to say XP handles it rather well.

Just keep in mind that when you boot to the 2nd install that D: becomes C: and C: becomes D:...just how it handles it.

It was easy, I have done many dual boots before but never win xp with win xp, always with linux or win 2k or something.  Just wasn't sure if the OS would let you set up dual boot with well itself.
