win2000 pro video problem
« on: January 05, 2007, 08:28:57 PM »
i have a sony vaio model pcv-rx360ds
866 p3
Igot it from a friend a few years ago and the hardrive got messed up. Ijust replaced it and loaded win2000 pro. it mostly works fine except that it will only display 16 colors, it seems to be only vga compatable right now. Ithink it needs a driver or something, when i check my device manager it tells me no driver is installed(code 28) I looked it up in faq and it said to reinstall the driver.
I guess for now my question is how do i dind out what driver i need? I am having a hard time figuring out what hardware the pc has, how do i look this up?
anyone that can help feel free to email me with any more info you might need and where i can find more info.
   thanks,

I had a few seconds, so here you go. All the drivers for that model for Win2000:

You should only use drivers from Sony, but to get the exact hrdware info, download Everest Home and make a report:
