I'm looking for some software to send a message over LAN. Typing a message on this computer and sending it, would prompt a window in the other computer(s) also connected to the LAN.
In a way, comparable to MSN, except that here, login shouldn't be required, it shouldn't eat much ram, and it should prompt regardless of whether or not the user likes it.
You know, for all I care it's just an add-on for Notepad that prompts the Notepad on the other computer, opening it with my message included.
Does anyone know if such software exists and where I can download it? Or does Windows already have such a function, in that case, where can I find it/how can I use it?
Ah, I found out about the net send thingy, except that it requires Messenger to be active and I threw it off my computer or at least out of my running processes, it was annoying the heck out of me. Anything else?
