Power supply question
« on: January 11, 2007, 09:59:35 PM »
I'm planning on buying a sapphire x1900gt ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102022 ) and I need a new power supply for my system.

I'm deciding between these two (i know i can get it cheaper elsewhere, but i have best buy gift cards to use)

Which would be the better buy? I don't know anything about psu manufacturers and their reliability. Also, is there any danger in upgrading the power supply? Would having a larger (i have a 300w now) psu pose any threat to the system? thanks a bunch.

threegunvash......  http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8013302&type=product&produ ctCategoryId=pcmcat107700050048&id=1156203858494    this one is decent . Antec make a pretty good PSU ......  AND putting in a larger PSU will not hinder anything , in fact "Larger is better" when refering to PSUs.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
