    Msconfig only shows a limited number of startup locations, take a look with 'Autoruns' from www.sysinternals.com , you can temporarily disable entries from within the program too.

    While your at it run these 2 online scans
    Ewido/AVG Online Scan
    Panda Activescan
    but run ccleaner first to clean out any harmless junk before scanning.

      StartupCPL is another handy one...it places a startup module in Control Panel.

      The author is Mike Lin and he's written some very handy apps...

        Hey guys, terribly sorry for late reply. Been at loadsa parties and been loaded with coursework. Anyway it doesn't matter now, when it doesn't respond if i leave it for 2 minutes it works.
