Monitor blacking out.

I have recently been having problems with my monitor. When I turn it on it bossts and stays on for about 3 seconds and then goes black. The power dosn't cut out cause the green lights still on and reboots each time you turn it off then on again.

Does anyone know a solution? remember I can only play around for 3 secs at a time between monitor boosts.
