    svchost.exe eats literally my CPU at start up time

    It takes something between 87 and 97%, and my start up time is about 4 minutes. Any solution to reduce this time?

    Post a screenshot or a list of the processes running at startup...

    Post your OS as well

      Here are what I Can get. Svchost.exe is taking now more than 4 minutes during startup and eating 99%.

      I didn't answer before because I never received email notification despita the fact I checked the "Notify me on replies". Sorry.

      In the listed order try dis-abling the following startup items temporarily:
      2,5,6,7,8,9.....17, 21,22 and 24.

      This will not remove them just dis-able them

      See if this improves things...

      Afterwards if it does then turn them on 1 at a time til you find the culprit.
