when playing a  dvd picture jumps & SOUND IS DISTORTED
BOTH DRIVES ARE NEW AND SET AS MASTER AND SLAVE.
same for a cd.sound is like its breakin up  anpicture is like it stops and starts . does this on both drives.only does this with dvd drives file on win media player play fine.computer is hp pav 520c ,hp light scr 840, light on dvd rw lh16w1p.
set up on one cable.


problem solved.hooked both drives up cable select! : [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

    can explain more detail what you mean picture jump and sound distorted

    You need to tell the manufacturer and model number.It would be better
    if the optical drives were on different motherboard ports.1 on motherboard
    IDE port 1 the other on IDE port 2.

    How do you have them set up? :-?
