help with sims 2 skins folder

I hope this is the right place to ask this. I want to download skins from this website
Whenever I try to follow the directions, which say to put the skins in the download folder, they never show up when I play the game. The directions say I should have *sims2skin or *sims2pack in the downloads folder which I don't seem to have. Can anyone figure this out? I'm really out of ideas.
