Did you try to uninstall or remove the entry?

Each program listed in Add/Remove Programs has a subkey listed here. Locate the correct subkey for the program in question and right click it, then select Delete.  You may want to choose Export, first, to export the key to a REG file.  The REG file can be re-imported if you find you made a mistake.

        Have now done that.
Quicktime is now still listed in Add/Remove programs but without an uninstall button.

This may seem like a stupid question but from what I understand your computer is fine exept for an extra entry in the add/remove program list................................... ..............................Providing that this interpretation is right who the flipping cares.

Yes, that does seem to be the case.
            I'll leave it then.
However, the other problem still remains, I am unable to uninstall the Cyberlink software packages.

Just to let you know I fixed it all.
I finally found the Cyberlink install disks, they were hidden under a laptop bag, and reinstalled it all.
I can now remove it fine.
Thanks for all the replies anyway, I appreciate the help.
