To take a screenshot, press the Print Screen button (Prt Sc or similar) near the top of your keyboard.
Then paste it into an image program, such as Paint, or anything really.
To make IE the default browser (which wouldn't affect much by the way) go to Tools --> internet options --> programs, and it's in there.
It is for IE7 anyway, I think it's pretty much the same for IE6?
Do correct me if I'm wrong though.
If you've got Firefox installed and working, good for you.
I bet you won't want to go back soon.

Okay, I got the screenshot pasted into Paint, but can't figure out how to get it here. :-?

In paint, click save as.
Then save it as a jpg and attach the jpg to your post.
Does that make sense?

looks too small, but each time I resized and tried to post it kept telling me file was too large,have you got a magnifying glass ;D

Next time, try saving it as a .jpg file.  These are smaller than bitmaps, and will also be better for emailing, if that need comes up for you in the future.  .BMP is the file extension for bitmaps, and they don't get compressed as much as .jpg files.
