Two viruses found
« on: February 04, 2007, 12:12:38 PM »
Hello.  My EZ Trust Antivirus has found infected but NOT DELETED two viruses, both found in WINDOWS  SYSTEM  32.  I can manually track them both until the very last file, of which I can't find in the listing.  Viruses:  WIN32  MMThief and WIN#@ Pigeon.GV.

I just downloaded a free trial of AVG 7.5 so don't know if it maybe deleted them.

Any thoughts on how to delete these buggers?

Can I run two antivirus at the same time?

Thanks kindly for any help and have a good one!!!!

Running two AV programs is not such a good idea. If you scanned with AVG, you would have received a notice that two were found and asking what you wanted to do with them.

It's never a good idea to run 2 AV programs in any instance...

Both of these are trojans which are a different beast altogether.

DLoad and update and run the following in Safemode with System Restore turned off:

AVG Anti-Spyware
Stinger.

Disconnect from the web when doing this. When done re-connect and re-boot and do a search for both files.

Post back with your results...
