    Hyperlinks
    « on: February 07, 2007, 11:37:51 AM »
    Windows XP

I would like to use hyperlinks in different instances but don't know how.  For example, if I were to put a hyperlink in this message, how do I do that?  Thanks in advance for your help.   :-?

Amazingly, I had my first computer for weeks before I figured out the copy/paste trick.  I think you will find that if you copy a working link (say-from your browser address bar) and paste it almost anywhere on the web it will work.  To make a workable link in text, it will be necessary to include the HTML coding.  That's all those < > and [ ] deals.  That will take a little learning.  Here is a copy and pasted link to a tutorial:   http://www.pagetutor.com/common/barebones/barebone.html  Take a look at the choice for "Links."

titilucky...Did you want to do it like this ?   For example : go to Computer Hope post .......   http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1170873471;action=post2   simply copy and paste the link into your post .
Or perhaps you want to do it this way :
      go to Computer Hope post.......

To do this you would use the appropriate YaBBC tags from above.
I will attach a screen shot of this message and you will see exactly how it's done.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
