Audio Capturing Software
« on: February 07, 2007, 05:21:27 PM »
Is there a freeware (or any at all) software that can capture the output of the soundcard? I searched and tried ARWizard but it bleeds over the sounds from the microphone. Thanks  :)

Audacity?

Look at all of the Essential SOftware listed in the FAQ section.

If you have a SoundBlaster card, take a look at the utilities that came with it. Windows sound recorder should also work.

Sound recorder! I can't believe I didn't think of that  ::) I switched input devices on the window's recorder and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the replies!

:'( Didn't realize that the Sound recorder only records 60 seconds than quits. Is there a way to increase the duration?

I don't know the answer to your question about Windows Sound Recorder, although I'd guess the length of time can not be increased.  So, I suggest you try Audacity.  It's freeware and I see they even have a support forum at http://audacityteam.org/forum/
