Opening ports?
« on: February 02, 2007, 07:06:19 PM »
I have a Westell Versalink 327w wireless modem/router. I've been trying to open a port for azureeus. I've disabled both firewalls, forwarded ports on my router, ran port scans. And azureus still says I'm behind a firewall. The port scans say that I have two ports open (they aren't the ports I opened in my router). Azureus won't connect through them. I've opened both TCP and UDP. I disabled windows firewall through services. What should I do now?

Which ports does it claim are open?  Have you tried Shields UP! for testing?
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.

Check out:
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm
Find your modem/router under   Westell    and click on it.

That will take you to a page where you can find    Azureus.
Click on   Azureus.

Detailed instructions, specific to your software and hardware.
With screenshots.

Perhaps going over it all you'll find you missed one little detail?
