Web page don't open full size...
« on: February 09, 2007, 12:44:40 AM »
I'm not sure what I'm forgetting or doing wrong, but when I open a shortcut to Google or any other site from my desktop the page opens in a reduced size. I cant figure out how to get it to open all the way each time I revisit it. I can resize after opening or pull the borders to where I like. But can't figure out how to get it to open all the way without my doing it manually every time? May sound silly but I cant remember how to do it ? :-?

Resize/Maximize the window and then hold CTRL key when closing it.

Right-click on the IE icon and go to Properties.  Under the Shortcuts tab, set the Run to Maximized.

If that doesn't work, then maybe you can try this.

Well it didn't work by changing to maximize in my IE property's, although I really thought that would do it. But the program you steered me to does exactly what I wanted and it's working perfectly!!! ;D
I have IE7 at work too and I didn't experience this problem. Anyway problem solved, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

If you open a screen, maximize it, then hold the "Shift" key down, that should open that screen maximized the next time.

Here is a link to the download page.

If that doesn't work, click here and look for the light-green download link.

Or you can try a direct link to the file here.

Did you have the window maximized when you initially saved it to the desktop?  If not, try deleting your existing desktop shortcut and creating a new one, making sure the window is maximzed when you do this.

That's nice but I'm still wondering why you had the problem when other users, such as me  ;), don't have that problem.  Do we just say, well, this is a fluke in some systems?
