    I have Norton 2004 and AVG antivirus program installed in my computer having windows XP. I want to ask whether there will be any problem or conflict having both softwares.

    You should never have more than one virus scanner installed.

    It may cause conflicts. even it does not,  you will still use more memory than you have to, resulting in poorer performance.
