Operating system transfer
« on: October 09, 2004, 10:02:33 PM »
I purchased a new computer and it came with WIN XP home edition installed. No XP disk, just a recovery disk in case the system fails. I also have a laptop with WIN ME operating system.
Is there any way I can copy, tranfser, the Xp OS to the laptop?

XP Home US$69.99 http://www.buysoftware.ws/pd_microsoft_windows.cfm

But is your ME Laptop compatible with XP?

If you buy XP Home use AutoStreamer 1·0 to slipstream SP2 together with the (Original Microsoft) XP CD and burn yourself an XPSP2 CD to do the installation.

This is a much better way of doing things.

msoft states than you can have winxpand other msoft o/s on two systems providing you own them...you would have to image the laptop hard drive to run winxp. i would just invest in a datalink cable instead....
