DDERR_SURFACELOST gaming error
« on: September 27, 2004, 09:52:07 PM »
I bought this flight simulation game and the game loads fine and was installed fine but when I go to play the game it will load and seem to want to play.  Then a window pops up and tells me DDERR_SURFACELOST.  I downloaded the newest version of directX from Microsoft, and some new drivers.  I am running XP PRO and have the Nvidia graphics card.  Has anyone encountered this problem before please help!

Do you have any idea how many Flight simulator games there are out there?

I suggest you Google for the error. That usually will produce some helpful results.

I ALREADY TRIED THAT AND DIDN'T GET ANY USEFUL INFO.  I WAS HOPING SOMEONE ELSE ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM AND HAD AN ANSWER.

reinstall.
give us an EXACT name not just "flight simulator".  for all i know this could be 3d Extreams "Terminal Velocity" (1994 flight sim fighter game that ran in dos and had used midi files of i guy tapping a mic for sound effects.)
