The mouse I was using is a HP cordless optical...I just switched to a cheap A'd USB optical and it works fine-- and I checked the mouse settings on the cordless and the buttons (for left hand users) were not switched-- I dunno what the problem was, but it was quite annoying. I guess I will just use this cheap mouse for now-- Thanks again

does the HP mouse have any software for it? if it does, uninstall it, re-install it, and that should reset the problem.. if not, it may be the mouse.
