ecc registered memory compatability

i hav a Abit KR7A  - 133R VIA KT266A Socket A DDR motherboard i know it surports PC2100 DDR memory but need to know will it work with 256mb PC2100 DDR CL2 ECC Registered RAM. Thanks really need reply soon please anyone. (if want to ask my anyother problems just ask as am Comp TIA A+ certifed but dont know answer to this lol)

Go to Crucial's site to see what memory is compatible.
I doubt that ECC RAM will be compatible though, it is used in server machines and not in normal PCs.

been to crucals site no real help there. why would it not work? would i hav to modify the bios. e.g. enable anything or disable. been busy over clocking today. o would u know which is the fsb feature is it just the dram clock. i think im correct. if not itll be either the cpu host or cpu vcore. cheers jason

Use Crucial's memory advisor tool.
If it does not show ECC memory as compatible, it is not compatible.
Why do you want to use it anyway?  From what I understand it is more expensive than normal RAM.
I don't think modifying the BIOS would help.
