Issue accessing files on a hard drive - from new hd
« on: April 04, 2007, 12:03:26 AM »
I had to install a new hard drive in my lap top because of system failure.  My issue is I can get to everything but my documents/music on the old hard drive (I didn't have a password).....but I get an error message saying that the drive is write protected......  which it isn't - the only area I can't access is the area that I need.  Any ideas.....PLEASE, please, please I am begging you.......... :'(

GX1 - the website is good but the problem is I can not log on - that hard drive is corrupt - I have been unable to repair it so it still will not boot.

    About my computer -

The original HD - unnamed 40 GB - I am running
    XP Pro w/Service Pack 2 version 2002
1.86 Ghz and 448 mb RAM.....  I haven't reinstalled my spyware or virus protection yet.

    Any other suggestions?
