winzip, winrar problems when extracting programs

Whenever I use Win-Zip self extractor to install my AVG anti-virus program...It gives me a error stating this:

16 Bit Windows Subsystem:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Auteexec.NT.
System File is not suitiable for running MS-Dos and Microsoft WIndows Applications. Choose Close to terminate application.

Help would be much appreciated ^_^
Any more info needed by me to fix this will be provided if asked.

What operating system are you using ?
Did you have ( or perhaps still have ) some virus ?
Is the error message you included exactly as you show it or did you manually type it in .....?
Are you using Win-Zip or Winrar to extract?

I'm pretty sure I dont have a virus.
I manually typed it but its the exact text.

Windows 16 bit subsystem probably requires compatability mode. Try running the wizzard on the file BEFORE extracting.

Ok, can you say that again? in a way that will not confuse my simple mind.

Go to Start -> Programs -> Accesoires -> Compatability Wizard.

Well I tried to install the anti virus program again, under the other compatibility modes, but it still gives me those errors.

You can attempt to use a program such as Winrar

Its a file where you extract it and it is supposed to run the setup wizard. after it unzips automatically, it runs the setup icon automatically, then it gives me the error.
So i'm not sure if its the extraction installer, or the program itself.

If the extraction  was succesful, the file is most likely corrupted. Download it again or from a different source.
