« on: October 17, 2004, 08:19:38 AM »
after installin sr2 for xp i noticed that it took long time to bootup.
looked for prefetch folder and it was gone.
checked registry to see if enabled and it was.
did a restore to before sr2 installation and prefetch still missing.
any suggestions to get prefetch back so system will

Your Prefetch folder should be automatically filled with junk after a while?

Are you certain that the folder is not hidden?

Save data to disk if you have this option or upload it to your or mates website...and reinstall winxp h/e...and disable winupdates...and disable system restore..the key to  a good crash free pc............forget the updates...if you listen and take note your pc wil be free from m$oft...and it will be YOUR PC..and no ones elses...otherwise you may go the same track and end up back to square 1...msdos 7.01 where are you hidding..why did  bg ditch it..was it to good like winme<plug>
