How about some hardware specs?  CPU, RAM, how much free space on hard drive?

How often do you clear your browser history?

What protections are you using for viruses and spyware?  Are you running a firewall?  Which one?

You may want to download Ccleaner to clean your registry...
      Please see:
      http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,20157.html

Also: Just because you have fast internet, doesent mean that the webpage you are viewing comes from a fast server.
Is this happening on only one website?

Be sure to close FireFox before running Ccleaner, it cannot clear the FireFox Cache file without it being closed.
Ccleaner will work with both FireFox and Internet Explorer, Windows Disk Cleanup only works with Internet Explorer (Some one want to confirm that last comment?).
