Computer boots for 2 seconds then shuts down

Gateway Dekstop P4 420GR....figured it was the motherboard since some capicators were blown.  Replaced and same problem.  Possible power supply problem?  I also tried reseating memory, video card, and took the battery out booted and same problem.  Any advice is appreciated.

    If you blew two perfectly good motherboards wth the same power supply it is certanly the prime suspect
