Anyone know why a box keeps popping up entitled "Internet Explorer" and then it reads, Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.....blah, blah, blah. Then there are two boxes on the bottom--one says "send error report" and the other says "don't send" How can I get rid of this irritating error box?  >:(

     jill253....Welcome to Computer Hope .......
The answer to that is pretty obvious...... there is a problem with IE, the version you have installed we don't know.
Does this occur everytime you open IE ? or is it just some times?
How long has this been going on?
Do you have all the service packs and all the updates installed ?
Please provide as much information re this issue as you can.
Do you have a real Win operating system cd ..... if required ?

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

Does the message read " Internet Explorer has encountered a problem.........." or Windows Explorer has...................?
Also try Microsoft.com. Knowledge database. There is a post/answer to this problem listed there.
