Well, you'll be
safer. You might want to get another backup scanner. In your case, I'll suggest
Windows Defender. Go ahead and throw in
Ad-Aware (for adware/spyware).
Now...about those files that Kaspersky keeps picking up... First of all, they're not in your sounds folder; they're in a system folder. That "Volume" doesn't refer to audio. Those files are in the subfolder
_restore, which is for your System Restore backups. Go ahead and
disable System Restore and run another scan with Kaspersky. Your next log will hopefully be clean, but if not, post a copy here. You can probably just ignore that
Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine\15790FB3.htm, as it appears to just be an infection that Norton quarantined. Or you could have Norton delete it if you want. Shouldn't make a difference. If your log comes up clean, go ahead and turn System Restore back on and create a new restore point.
I think the reason why AVG didn't pick up those infections is because it probably doesn't have access to the SVI folder. I don't know of a way to give it access (if anyone knows a way, feel free to chime in), so that's why I recommended Windows Defender, because it
should be able to scan those folders/files. Or you can stick with the Kaspersky scanner, since it seems to be able to scan them just fine.
