help, can't get rid of gif things on my screen

I'm not computer savvy. I unintentionally downloaded some type of zip file or something the other day (not sure what I did). Now, on my screen I have about 20 gif icons. They say things like.....B359.GIF, B368.GIF and they have a  red box, blue circle and yellow triangle. I've tried to delete these little monsters, but they keep coming back. What are they? How do I make them go away? Thanks, Juliah

GX1man....I have norton antivirus. Is that enough? I don't know for sure where I acquired the gifts. I want to return them though.

It sounds to me that when you unzipped this file it unzipped them to the desktop.

How are you trying to delete them ? ?

If you delete them and they keep comming back or something, run full system scan and tell us if you find anything.

You should get AVG as well. AVG does a better job of virus protection (in my opinion) that Norton.

If you got these files off a website, check your recent History to find out what sites you've visited, then try to find the culprit, then tell us.
