I turned off my computer before bed last night. When I turned it on this morning it came up with this:
NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
I tried restarting it, and it kept coming up with that. I looked on the microsoft website and it said that I needed the boot disk. Well.... I never got one when I bought my computer. The only that I got was the certificate of authenticity for the microsoft office and the little booklet saying where everything is on the modem.
Anyways.... I have a second computer in my house (which is what I am on now), and I was trying to create a boot disk off of the microsoft website. However, there are a couple problems. First off, and I'm not sure how much this really matters, but, my computer runs off of Windows XP Media Center, and my second computer runs on Windows XP Professional. I tried to find the files that are needed for the boot disk (Ntldr and the Ntdetect.com), but I can't find them. Secondly, the tutoral for creating the boot disk is for creating a floppy disk. My second computer has a floppy drive, but the computer that I am trying to repair does not. I'm not exactly sure what to do.
If anyone knows what I should do, please, please let me know.
Thanks,
Anje
