Microsoft is making a HUGE mistake cutting their support for XP.
Im probably not even going to get a new computer.

What's this about?  Last I heard, they were going to support it for almost eight more years.  Was I misinformed or did they change their minds?

Don't blame the computer for the pricing, Apple is a monopoly, but the computers and software I still think are better

I'm too tired to do it now, but I'll look into this sometime today.

WINDOWS XP!!
Is Microsoft really cutting off their support of XP in 2011?

Your info is inaccurate...

Quote
Microsoft on Wednesday extended support for its Windows XP Home and Windows XP Media Center operating systems through 2014...

The addition of a five-year "extended support" phase to Windows XP will take effect in May 2009. In Microsoft parlance, extended support is the period when all support is fee-based and non-security hotfixes are produced only for corporate customers. Until April of 2009, Windows XP Home and Media Center will remain in what is called "mainstream support," which offers some no-charge support and free updates that don't deal with security issues.

Previously, all support for Windows XP Home was slated to end two years after the release of Vista, in other words, at the end of January 2009...

Thanks for the info, pat.  Not quite as long as I had thought, but close enough.

Mac, ANYthing is better than MI©®O$OFT

I question the opinion of someone who spells Microsoft like "MI©®O$OFT".

Normally, when someone shows such dis-taste for Microsoft, they're a Linux user, in my experience, and why would anyone with a brain, or Brian for that matter, choose Mac over anything else?

Well how do you explain "MI©®O$OFT" then?  Hmm?

And who gives a *censored* about "options".  You should've made it an option.
