I find it funny that everytime I would take my computers to the GeekSquad for running slow or any other problem their answer was to reformat it.

I've also noticed that a reformat is the solution to a lot of problems they get.  It's upsetting, but some people will keep going back.  Just like the people who pay 20 cents more for the same gas that's being sold across the street for slightly cheaper.

Not surprising at all, as it is the least labor intensive solution, AND it will always work, if the hardware is intact.  ;)

Unless the hard drive has a virus that is activated by the sector being run over...
