in the falling sand games, the most annoying thing is when you have a sweet bomb an dthen your comp starts lagging lol i just was toying with my backgrounds and stuff and i found out that a good way to reduce lags (at least on WinXP) is to do the following

1. right click on any empty desktop space
2. go to properties
3. go to settings
4. go to "advanced"
5. go to "troubleshooting"
6. move the slider all the way to "none" and press OK in both windows

Really . . . that's interesting.
It shouldn't really help, moving the slider to the right increases performance.
The falling sand games lag on my machine too, Java seems to kill off the PC and suck my CPU, always has.
