Try downloading and running CCleaner (without the Yahoo! toolbar) and see if that helps.

Maybe your sister's computer has a virus on it. Here are some good free antivirus programs you can download: AVG free, AVG antispyware, Ad-Aware SE Personal, and Spybot Search and Destroy.

Did you try downloading CCleaner? It is a smaller program so you should be able to stay connected long enough to finish it.

Off topic: You like chess? Go to GameKnot.com.

On topic: So you are still having the same problem? Did you ever try downloading CCleaner? It's at www.ccleaner.com.

Actually, you can download all the programs I mentioned above, and either burn them on a CD or put them on a flash drive (although a CD would be preferable because a virus could be transmitted through a flash drive). Does your computer have any CD burning software?

Roxio is a CD burning program. To burn a CD is to copy files from your computer onto a CD. This can usually only be done once. Problem is, I don't have Roxio and so I wouldn't know how to get you started. Try opening Roxio and going to the help file. It should explain how to use the program.

Sorry for taking so long to respond.

What is an HRJ log? Is it a HijackThis log? If so, then go ahead and post it here. I don't know how to read it but I will refer someone who does to this thread.

aliboy, I've taken a look at the log and it looks clean to me.  However, I don't see any anti-virus protection installed on that computer.  Did you actually get the programs CompGuy suggested?  If not, you need to download them and put them onto your sister's computer via CD and scan with them in Safe Mode.

Have you contacted your sister's ISP about this issue?
