Idk what to do

Problems:


1. Videos Run Really Slow.

Such as youtube videos, and others. Really laggy.

2. Applications Run Slow.

Such as Tibia.exe, Aim instant messenger. etc.

3. Everything else runs fine.


Things ive tryed.

1. All Virus Scanners, In Safe Mode.

2. Defragmenting my computer.

3. System Restore.

4. Cleaning out with ccleaner.



I really dont have anymore solutions for this problem.

Maybe you do.

    In order for anyone to help you you'll need to give us more information:

    • 1. OS
    • 2. Processor
    • 3. RAM
    • 4. Etc.

    You said you tried virus scanners, what about spyware scanners like SpySweeper? How long has this been happenning? Has it been going on a while, or has it just recently started? If you give us more information we might be able to help you.

    Operating System...
    What happened before this...
    --What did you download or install/run
    Did you modify your system in any way (new hardware)

    My specs are

    os - windows xp, service pack 2 version 2002
    256mb of ram

    its been acting up ever since my freind stayed over, a few weeks ago. so about 2 weeks.

    Have you looked into more RAM for the machine ? ?

    If you travel to crucial.com you can enter your specs and it will tell you EXACTLY which type the machine will use.
    You don't have to purchase it from them you can shop around for pricing...

    256 will run XP but it will lag doing certain things.

    I find 768 to be the sweet spot on modst machines....

    Course more is always better.
