Monitor View
« on: June 13, 2007, 11:10:49 AM »
My mom (who is computer illiterate) was playing with my laptop and now the view on the monitor went from full screen (what I like) to centered with black on the right and left.  How do I fix this?  Help?

Check the resolution.  Try setting it to 1024x768.

That doesn't work, it just makes the font smaller.

Try booting into Safe Mode (F8) when the computer starts, then go into Device Manager and remove all the Monitors / reboot.  If that doesn't do it repeat the SM process and remove the video card drivers.

That might be a good idea on a laptop.
