Windows software issues

I just bought A Gateway mt6705 notebook PRELOADED with windows vista premium home I want to reformat  and install windows xp home,Can this be done without any problems? A lot of programs i use wont run in vista.I have herd every answer emaginable Besst Buy Geeks said no Gateway said maybe the retailer said call gateway what is the correct answer.I was told i will need drivers but my note book might not have them available ???

DLoad and run Everest Home and you will have a list of every component you need XP drivers for...

Then travel to Gateway's site and see whats available for XP.

You should have no problem at all...

p.s. Also make sure doing this will not void your warranty.

    if possible copy the present Vista drive etc onto another hard drive in case you want to try Vista again later, or if there is a problem with the warranty you can restore it . it will be worth it believe me.
    Please give as much information regarding the Specification and components of your computer and a note about what you were doing when the problem arose and any other relevant thing that you think may help.
