    ok so when you press the power button it wont turn on... what about when its plugged into the wall??

    what protections do you have on the laptop??

    Addtion: try removing the battery and putting it back in or not having the battery in and having it plugged into the wall

      Try booting in Safe Mode.

      And then try a scan.

      And also;
      How old is this laptop?

      Possible causes:
      Ye Ol' Fashion Suspend Mode has been saving crash information. (In this case, Unloved Warriors advice would probably fix it)

      Also:
      Make sure you remove the battery for at least 10 seconds. This (if your laptop is using the old version of Suspend) will make sure that ALL the RAM is cleared completely.
