SWF and FLV files do not play sound
« on: June 18, 2007, 03:48:15 PM »
I have Windows XP SP2.

When I play mp3s/wmvs/anything that doesn't use flash, everything works perfectly, but when I play a SWF file or play an FLV file, only the video plays and there is no sound. I reinstalled flash, but nothing changed; still no sound. Also, system alert sounds don't play.

The night before, I tried something out and downloaded K-Lite and installed the lots of codecs profile. Then I uninstalled it and reinstalled some codecs that I had uninstalled, but I don't think that would have anything to do with flash, but it might.

Help?
