Well my problem is that whenever I try to open up firefox or IE it takes about 20 seconds or so to load a page, but when it actually loads the first page then it runs fine but after awhile it will run slow again. Another thing is whenever I try to connect to a game client that involves connect to the server to install a patch of some sort it wont let me connect (happened with three games).

I think that I statrted the problem because i got mad at a game one night and umm...how should i say this...hit my knee underneath my desk really hard, which somehow managed to freeze my computer, so I restarted it and I began getting this C++ Runtime Error whenever I tried to access any program and the only way I knew how to fix it was System Restore.

So ya that would work for about a half a day then it would give me the same Runtime Error, so I shut off the error reporting in the My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Error Reporting.

And ever since then my computer seems to get worse each day.

Should I just reinstall windows or is that a BAD idea?

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

You might want to open up your computer and, using proper ESD precautions, check to make sure that everything is properly seated.  If you knocked it hard enough to cause something to freeze, you might've made something come loose.

So, it's not just IE and Firefox.  Is that right?  I think that jolt to your computer might have caused some hard drive damage.  Run CHKDSK.  What were the results?  Any report of bad sectors in your hard drive?
