How to Back Up The System please?

Dear All,

I currently use a notebook, Window XP Pro with many important programs installed in 10 GB Hard Drive...Now, I intent to buy a larger hard drive capacity to 30 GB..My question is, is it possible to upgrade my hard drive to 30 GB (replace my old drive) without reformatting and reinstalling Windows XP Pro and reinstalling my previous programs (again) please?...If it can...how should I do please..??

Make an image of your current HDD by using software such as Norton Ghost.

Pentium III 851 MHz,
512 RAM,
8 MB Video Card, <------ can I upgrade this card pls.

Why would you need to?

Go to http://www.drivesolutions.com. You can buy a kit for about $50 which make a clone of your old drive to you new one. then put the new dirve in your laptop and you are all set.

Upgrade andthing besides RAM and HD on a laptop is next to impossible!!

i would buy an ide adaptor...and connect it to a desktop pc has a slave and transfer the files to it....the you transfer them later using a datalink cable...
