how to move drive space

I have 14 Gb of space on by C drive, which is getting quite full. My D drive has like 130 Gb on it, and as I only store games on it, there is alot of free space. How can I move space from D drive to the C drive? Thanks!!

What operating system are you using?

Have maxed 2 Gb RAM
Have added Nvidia 6800 graphics card

OK, looks like you have a 160GB HD, which is obviously partitioned.  That's what I see @ Sony VAIO PCV-RS520.

Here's a good article on partitioning: Step-By-Step: Partition Your Hard Drive.  To do this without formatting your hard drive and reinstalling Windows, you'll need a utility such as Partition Commander or PartitionMagic.

An alternative to changing partition sizes is to clean up some of the stuff on your C drive to free up space.  Is your My Documents folder (which normally includes My Pictures and My Music) on C, which would be the default configuration?  You can move that to D. 

I also suggest you get CCleaner and use it for disk cleanup.  Go here and get the Slim version: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds.aspx

to move My Documents, right click on My Documents and select Properties.  On the tab named Target, click on the button named Move, select a Destination, and proceed.

The swap file is the Virtual Memory file.

My Computer - Advanced - Performance - Advanced - Virtual Memory

Set it so the C: drive has a Custom size,

 initial size 2 MB maximum size 50 MB

then set it so that the D: drive has a Custom size

initial size 1.5 times the RAM size, maximum 1.5 times the RAM size.
