Where can I get a free DVD decoder that works with win media player 11 free?

I cant watch dvd's on my pc, it says I need a decoder, yet everywhere I have looked it costs. I had one before I got online free,but cant remember where I got it. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

    finman31.........  If any of the movies are DivX , you should have this codec pak as well.

    You might also wish to Download VLC player...... it will play almost any video file ....... http://www.videolan.org/vlc/   download the one for Windows.
