Changing default folder view
« on: July 05, 2007, 04:00:50 PM »
This one will be simple - I hope.

It seems the default view for all my folders has switched to "detailed list". It's irritating having to change each one to "large icons" or "list" each time.

Can I change the default view for all folders, or all subfolders ?

Win 2000 SP4
HP OmniBook 6000 (old, but was cheap, and has lasted...just)

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Open any folder.
3. Select "View" on menu bar and select desired view
4. Select "Tools" on menu bar and then select "View" tab
5. At the top, in the section titled "Folder Views", click the button marked "Apply to All Folders".
6. Click "OK"
