Invisible Writing (pale pale yellow writing)

I am using microsoft windows version 5.1, manufactured by Dell. I was wondering if anyone can help me? I've been recieving e-mails with the text in a pale pale yellow colour that appears almost invisible until I select it. Can you help me to make sure the e-mails come in with the writing in black?

    rozzmazz, please state the common name of your Windows version; windows version 5.1 makes no sense.  Winddws 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, ... what is it? 

    Does this problem happen with all email, from all senders?
