iam running win.98se
  I E5
 GENUINETEL intel(celeron tm. (Asus motherboard)
 prossor intel mmx tm
 512mb ram
 86%sys.recoures free
 available space on drive c 129323mb
 when i try to run scandisk get this message(could not continue because
your computer dose not have enough available memory.if any programs are running quit one or more and try running scandisk again.this is also with my defrag.program.can some one tellme what i have to do .tks.in advance.Tony aka  Fritz

Disconnect from the Internet.  Close any programs you may have running in the background...antivirus, spyware programs, etc., etc.

Try running scandisk and defrag again.

I would try CCleaner. You can download
